Further Ideas

During the lecture the other day I was thinking about more ideas and came up with the following 2.

Idea 1:

An AR Camera Phone App that show’s how Bridlington used to look in times past.

  • Places old versions of buildings and attractions in Bridlington over the person’s surroundings, viewable on their mobile phone in the app’s camera.
  • It could have options for different decades: it could be interesting for children to see the earlier iterations of the town and fun for parents and older generations to see familiar scenes from the past.
  • It could have a slider to go between old and new.
  • Some of the assets could have sound effects or moving elements to them to make it more engaging.

Idea 2:

A Virtual Fish Tank.

  • This would be a digital installation using monitors/screens to show virtual fish swimming in a tank.
  • An interactive element would be using cameras to show the live scenery behind the tank as it would be through water, people could stand behind and have someone take their photo as if they were looking through a large fish tank.
  • Would be a few screens placed on the seafront to make a cuboid shape/ to give the illusion of a 3D tank.
  • These fish in the tank could be designed on a smaller screen at the front, maybe chose pre made elements and put them together then draw on it with the software to give it colours and patterns of your choice. Each fish would be unique.
  • Once you have created the fish there could be a button you press on the smaller screen to release it into the tank, it is then animated splashing into the tank and swimming around.
  • Maybe an added element of when the fish splashes in the installation sprays some water at you.

Idea 3:
